summer blog
So… a lot of people have been telling me to keep a blog for my summer internship. It’s more career/event focused, so I’ve made a separate blog for it.

Being born again from above is a perennial, perpetual, and eternal beginning; a freshness all the time in thinking and in talking and in living, the continual surprise of the life of God.
Being born again of the Spirit is an unmistakable work of God, as mysterious as the wind, as surprising as God Himself. We do not know where it begins, it is hidden away in the depths of our personal life. Staleness is an indication of something out of joint with God, “I must do this thing or it will never be done.” This is the first sign of staleness. Are we freshly born this minute or are we stale, raking in our minds for something to do? Freshness does not come from obedience but from the Holy Spirit; obedience keeps us in the light as God is in the light.
Guard jealously your relationship to God. Jesus prayed “that they may be one, even as we are one”—nothing between. Keep all the life perennially open to Jesus Christ, don’t pretend with Him. Are you drawing your life from any other source than God Himself? If you are depending upon anything but Him, you will never know when He is gone.
Being born of the Spirit means much more than we generally take it to mean. It gives us a new vision and keeps us absolutely fresh for everything by the perennial supply of the life of God.

I have no idea how God works. Every time I feel like I am about to break, He is there to save me.

I realize that oftentimes, I get hurt when others don’t treat me genuinely. There’s one girl that treats me like this all the time, and I’m not really sure why. It’s obvious that she genuinely likes other people, but just not me. Before, I tried to just endure everything, but since we spend so much time doing work together, it’s hard to control my attitude around her.
I think because of this awareness I have in me, I treat her differently. It’s not loving at all. And maybe that’s why our relationship on the surface is so friendly, but deep down she probably thinks I’m annoying and bothersome. And in my heart she is someone who does not see me as a real friend.
And then I look at how Jesus treated those who condemned him. His love was so great that he was willing to die for those people. I don’t even know how to imagine this kind of love. I really hope God will give me strength to love others. Everyone. Regardless of how they treat me. And I pray that it will not be my love, but God’s love. overflowing. And when this happens, I will probably no longer care about how others treat me anymore. Because in the end, it’s not about me, it’s about reflecting Christ’s image. And right now I am not doing that.

honesty. just like.. thoughts, what i’ve been having trouble with, my anxieties, hopes, dreams, what i struggle with, like… anything!! just poured out to God. and hearing God saying that He has everything under control. feeling God embrace me.
i love praying and i do not pray enough. i’m so glad i could discuss this with my brothers and sisters in ACF. i need more of this.

Hi everyone! This is a blog for my sister and I :) We’re identical twins, Brenda and Theresa Lee. My sister got this idea … we could have a shared blog to update each other on our lives!
We grew up with each other :) and now we go to schools on different coasts, and we’re both really busy. So it’s kind of hard for us to keep up regularly with each other other than through the typical instant messaging.
